The HP AD222A PCIe Combination Adapter is an enterprise I/O adapter designed to provide both Fibre Channel SAN connectivity and Gigabit Ethernet networking for compatible HP enterprise server platforms. By combining storage and network interfaces on a single PCI Express adapter, it helps reduce PCIe slot usage in supported systems.

The AD222A features two 4Gb Fibre Channel ports for connecting compatible servers to Fibre Channel switches and SAN storage infrastructure. The dual-port FC configuration supports redundant storage paths and multipath deployments for environments requiring resilient access to shared enterprise storage.

In addition to Fibre Channel connectivity, the adapter provides two 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports using copper network connections.
