The HPE C8R44B StoreFabric SN6500B 16Gb Fibre Channel Switch Power Pack+ is a high-density enterprise SAN switching platform designed for large-scale storage networks requiring high performance, availability, and extensive Fibre Channel connectivity. Built on the HPE B-Series architecture, the SN6500B is suited for demanding data center and storage consolidation environments.
This configuration provides 96 active Fibre Channel ports, delivering the full port capacity of the SN6500B platform. With support for 16Gb Fibre Channel, it provides high-bandwidth, low-latency connectivity between compatible servers, host bus adapters, storage arrays, and other SAN infrastructure.
The Power Pack+ configuration adds enhanced supported software capabilities for SAN fabric management, monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization. With all 96 ports activated, the C8R44B is particularly suitable for large virtualized environments, databases, private cloud infrastructure, backup platforms, and enterprise storage networks requiring high port density.
The HPE C8R44B is well suited for SAN consolidation, fabric expansion, infrastructure upgrades, and replacement within compatible HPE B-Series environments. Installed SFP transceivers, Power Pack+ licensing, firmware, power supplies, airflow configuration, and other configuration-dependent components should be verified for the individual switch before deployment.

If you need a special warranty period, you can ask your contact person for an extended warranty. Please note that the extended warranty can be extended for a maximum of 3 years and in most cases it incurs an extra cost. It must also be purchased at the same time as the original Purchase Order. In the event a faulty part or a part that stops working within its warranty period, email your contact person and request a RMA (email should include Ameta invoice number, product part number & serial number) and we will process your claim.
