The HPE NS204i-p connects via a PCIe 3.0 x8 interface and features dual NVMe M.2 SSD slots, each utilizing x2 PCIe lanes. It supports hardware RAID 1 (mirroring) for operating system redundancy, helping improve system availability and protect against boot drive failure. By moving the operating system to dedicated M.2 NVMe media, the NS204i-p frees front drive bays for application and data storage while delivering faster boot times and lower latency than traditional SATA-based solutions.
