The IBM 00Y5860 / 00RY384 Storwize V5000 Gen1 Controller Node is an enterprise storage controller designed for compatible IBM Storwize V5000 Gen1 storage systems. It provides the processing, cache, and storage management functionality required for supported V5000 block-storage environments.

This controller node is equipped with 8GB of cache memory and a battery-backed cache protection system. The protected cache architecture helps safeguard cached data during unexpected power interruptions and supports the availability requirements of enterprise SAN storage environments.
