The IBM 3573-8144 / 95P5817 LTO-4 Full-Height Fibre Channel Tape Drive is an enterprise tape drive module designed for compatible IBM System Storage TS3100 and TS3200 tape libraries. It provides removable tape storage for backup, archive, disaster recovery, and long-term data retention environments.
Based on LTO Ultrium 4 technology, the drive supports up to 800GB native capacity per LTO-4 cartridge and up to 1.6TB compressed capacity using the commonly specified 2:1 compression ratio. Its full-height (FH) design is intended for compatible IBM tape library configurations requiring this drive form factor.
The 3573-8144 / 95P5817 uses a Fibre Channel interface, making it suitable for integration into supported SAN-based backup infrastructures. It is well suited for replacing a failed tape drive, restoring an existing TS3100 or TS3200 configuration, or maintaining spare hardware for legacy enterprise backup systems.
The IBM 3573-8144 / 95P5817 is a tape drive module and not a complete tape library. Tape cartridges, library chassis, Fibre Channel cabling, transceivers, software, and licenses may not be included. Exact library firmware, drive generation, interface, and configuration compatibility should be verified before installation.

If you need a special warranty period, you can ask your contact person for an extended warranty. Please note that the extended warranty can be extended for a maximum of 3 years and in most cases it incurs an extra cost. It must also be purchased at the same time as the original Purchase Order. In the event a faulty part or a part that stops working within its warranty period, email your contact person and request a RMA (email should include Ameta invoice number, product part number & serial number) and we will process your claim.
